Making Strides Walk 2021: Working to End Breast Cancer One Step at a Time
|Released: 9/21/2021 6:00:00 AM|
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), breast cancer is the most common cancer in women after certain types of skin cancer. For anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer or has a loved one who was, the diagnosis can be devastating.
You can make a direct impact on groundbreaking breast cancer research and patient services by participating in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The event will be held in person at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 16 at the Outer Harbor, 825 Fuhrmann Boulevard in Buffalo.
There are three major ways to participate in the Walk:
- Join the Great Lakes Cancer Care Collaborative (GLCCC) team
- Donate to the GLCCC team
- Create a team of your own to raise funds
No matter how you support this important event, you will know that you are making a tangible contribution in the fight against breast cancer and the provision of support and services for those it touches.
