COVID-19 Cases are Rising: Wear Your Mask, Limit Gatherings and Get Your Booster

Released: 11/4/2021 6:00:00 AM

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in our community and as we enter the winter months where we spend more time indoors, we must all do our part to reduce the spread.

  • Universal masking is still required in all Kaleida Health facilities
  • In addition to universal masking, frequent hand hygiene and social distancing are still required
  • Universal eye protection during all patient care is strongly recommended (it is required for all patients on Droplet and Contact/Droplet Precautions)
  • Limit gatherings and use technology whenever possible instead of in-person meetings; if in-person meetings are necessary, everyone must wear masks
  • When people remove their mask to eat in small areas (like break rooms), they should stay at least 6 feet away from others to avoid breathing in particles produced by another person
  • Do NOT come to work if you are feeling ill
  • Any healthcare personnel who develop a fever or symptoms consistent with COVID-19 must immediately self-isolate and contact Employee Health for further information
  • Get your booster! Appointments for Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen booster shots are available at Buffalo General Medical Center and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital HERE
