Patients and families can count on the VNA's outstanding team of IV nurses, offering unequaled clinical and personal service in home care to 9 counties in the WNY area. Our team is complemented by comprehensive infusion therapy services and in-house pharmacy capabilities.
Compounding Services
- Prescriptions for infusion drugs are compounded on the premises
- Our state-of-the-art clean room meets all USP 797 compliance standards and is carefully monitored by knowledgeable IV Therapy Pharmacists and Technicians
Clinical Monitoring
- Dedicated pharmacists monitor patient drug therapies, reviewing medication profiles, laboratory results and nursing reports
- Pharmacists communicate with physicians as appropriate to ensure proper dosing
IV Nursing
- We have the largest team of Registered Nurses specially trained and dedicated to providing Infusion Therapy
- Nurses are also certified in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC)
- Infusion nurses work with pharmacists to administer antibiotics, chemotherapy, steroids, IVIG, hydration, TPN and a variety of other home infusion therapies
